EVANS , Patricia Lilias (nee Leslie) October 20, 1941 - October 26, 2009 With courage, dignity and grace our mom, Patti, joined our dad, Roy, in heaven after a lengthy illness. Left to mourn are her three children Sue (Ashley) Nicholas, Leslie, and Michael (Francois) and her granddaughters, Jessica and Chelsey. She is also survived by her aunt, Peggy Lyth and her family as well as many friends. She was a kind, caring and giving person who looked at everything in life through a positive lens. Patti devoted her life to her family and to her husband. She was full of generosity and greeted all people with a big smile always showing compassion and respect. She loved to bake, cook and garden. Patti was a very talented and gifted crafter who in recent years spent most of her time quilting beautiful gifts for her friends and family. She was also a valued volunteer for the Federation of Calgary Communities and Bethany Care Centre. Our lives have been touched and truly blessed by her love, generosity and care. Sincere thanks to the nursing staff at the Bethany Care Centre for their kind and compassionate care. In celebration of Patti's life, the family invites you to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, October 31 at 11:00 a.m. at Scarboro United Church, 134 Scarboro Avenue S.W. A private family Interment will follow.
