Randolf HABIJANAC

HABIJANAC , Randolf (Randy) May 24, 1924 - October 26, 2009 Randy Habijanac passed away suddenly on Monday, October 26, 2009 at the age 85 years. Randy is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Betty, and their children Cindy (Don) Murray, Dwain (Sandy) Habijanac, Rick (Monica) Habijanac and grandchildren Wesley, Lindsey, Cindy, Amelia, and Amaya. Randy was predeceased by his father, mother, brother, sister and son Clinton Trimming. Randy immigrated to Canada in 1950 from Daruvar, Yugoslavia and was a member of the Canadian Federation of Chefs de Cuisine and the Calgary Academy of Chefs and Cooks for over forty years. Randy worked at the Palliser Hotel, he then went on to become a chef at Eaton's and then the Head Chef at the Highlander Hotel. After retiring he worked part-time at Western Quality Meats and the Canadian Croatian Centre. A sincere thank-you to the doctors and nurses at the Canmore Hospital for all of their care, attention and support. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME, on Monday, November 2, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Bonnie Roddis officiating.
