George PEDERSEN

PEDERSEN, George Friday morning, October 23, 2009, George Pedersen prepared for his inaugural round of golf in the sky and passed away. He has left behind his loving wife, Amy Pedersen, his son Al Pedersen (wife Bette) and his daughter, Bonnie Seutter (husband Harry), along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Born in Fredericia, Denmark on May 18, 1912, He came to North America in the 1920's with his parents and siblings, and finally settled in Camrose. On September 9th, 1945, George married Amy and they shared 64 years together. George ran Snappy Tailors in Edmonton in the 50's then moved on becoming a CPGA golf professional. He built Ravine View Golf Course which he and Amy operated from 1964 until 1974. For his finale, He became the Grand Marshal of Country Side Golf Course for more than 20 years. Now, he is receiving the golf lesson on how to play the dreaded one iron from the only One who knows how to use it. George is already missed.
