HOEY, Lorraine (nee Sutherland) Passed away on October 24, 2009. Lorraine was born in Saskatoon eighty-three years ago, where she was raised with her two sisters, Lucille and Joan. She went on to become a teacher in rural Saskatchewan. She married her beloved husband, Verne, in 1947 and settled in the West Island of Montreal, where they raised their six daughters: Sharon (Kim), Nancy, Debbie (Peter), Susan, Lori (Andrew), and Carol (John). She was a devoted grandmother to Michael, Karen, Margie, David, Michael, Jack, Beth, Kathy, Tim, Andrew, Christopher, Spencer, Carly (predeceased), and Charlotte. She was great-grandmother to Chris, Allie, Tom, Sally, Clara, Liam, Luke, Grace, Peter, and Emma. Throughout her life, Lorraine cherished her relationships with her family and family of friends, and will be greatly missed by so many. A memorial service and celebration of her life will take place at Beaconsfield United Church, 202 Woodside Rd., Beaconsfield, on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 3 p.m. If desired, donations in her memory may be made to Beaconsfield United Church Women (U.C.W.) or to a charity of your choice.
