OVANS William Douglas (Bill) Born July 9, 1926 in North Vancouver passed away October 26, 2009 in North Vancouver. Bill Grew up in Lynn Valley and had lived in North Vancouver his whole life. Bill was a transit bus driver for 43 years starting with street cars in Vancouver at the age of 21. Bill is predeceased by his first wife Jennie Ovans (Sullivan) and his brothers Charles and Jack and sisters Margirete, Bea, May, Phebie and Rose. Survived by his wife Janice, daughter Valerie Hartt and son David Ovans, 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandsons and 4 stepchildren, 7 step-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister in law Peggy Ovans and Haroldene Sullivan as well as many nieces and nephews. No service by request. In lieu of flowers those wishing to may make a donation to Lions Gate Hospital. The family would like to thank DR. Haff and all the nurses and DRs at Lions Gate Hospital for the good care of Bill.
