BENSON, Queenie Feb. 15, 1920 Oct. 24, 2009 Queenie died as she lived, with grace, dignity and love. Predeceased by her beloved Orm, husband of 64 years, in April 2009, she leaves behind her children Sheila (Didier), Roberta (Miriam) and Jeff (Marina), beloved grandchildren Greg, Karla, Jacob and Aviva, her sister and friend Sheila Hammond and dear family in England. She will be greatly missed by her family and her wonderful friends. Queenie's family would like to thank her many care providers, including VIHA Home and Community Care staff, especially Linda McLean and Kathryn Watts, home support caregivers from Beacon and Sydney Senior Care, staff of Somerset House, the First Met. team and the incredible nurses, staff and volunteers of the Victoria Hospice. A celebration of Queenie's life will be held at Somerset House, 540 Dallas Road on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 2:00 pm, followed by reception. We hope all her friends will join us.
