MASSE, Dan It is with heavy hearts that the family of Dan Masse announce his passing. Dan drifted away peacefully taking our Lords hand for guidance on Saturday, October 24, 2009, at the age of 50, with his family at his side. Wonderful husband and best friend of 23 years to Jo-Anne (nee Riberdy). Loving and doting father to Shannon and Stephanie. Dear brother to Ken. Predeceased by his parents Wilfred (1975) and Madeleine (2002). The best son-in-law in the world to Joyce and Norm Riberdy. Caring and compassionate brother-in-law to Kathleen Clark. (Sarnia). Awesome uncle to Nicole and Sean. Dear nephew to Leonard and Cecile Janisse, Loretta Biggart, Verone Papineau, Lucille Kupick, and Alice Bourque. Dan worked at National Auto Radiator for 14 years and then at City's Freight Systems, a job he truly loved. Dan was a family man and his girls meant the world to him. He stated the girls were the best gift ever given to him. Special thanks to the exceptional nursing staff at Malden Park Palliative Care Unit for their tender care and compassion given to Dan in his final days. Thank you to ComCare, Hospice, Dr. Alam and a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Morassutti for giving us the most precious gift of all; time with Dan. Special thanks is also given to Fr. Rick Janisse who has a gift with words that could lift Dan's spirits and help him to cope with his difficulties. Thank you also to everyone who stopped by to visit and brighten Dan's day, this meant more to him than you will ever know. It was Dan's wishes to donate his body to medical research in the hope that doctors would learn something for the betterment of others. A mass of rememberance will be held at Sacred Heart Church, LaSalle on Saturday, October 31st, 2009 at 11 a.m. If you wish donations in Dan's memory can be made to the Sacred Heart Church Window Restoration Fund or Malden Park Palliative Care Unit. Thank you Norm for all you did around the house to help me - may God bless you.
