GIFFORD, David It is with great sadness that the Gifford family announces the unexpected passing of David (David Thomas) Gifford on Oct 25th, 2009, with his family at his side. David was born on January 21, 1949 in Brockville, Ont. He will be remembered as a great friend, husband and father. David had a love for life and a witty sense of humor that everyone enjoyed (especially David himself). David knew suffering yet persevered and tried his best to live his life wisely with integrity, honesty, and by helping others. He was a loving and devoted husband for 40 years to Deborah Anne; father of Jaysun and Renee, Chris and Karen, Myles and Jenn, and Blair and Hillary. Grandfather of Gage, Taryn, Regan, Ella, Jacie, Logan, and Colton; Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by his father James Henry (Harry) Gifford; survived by his mother Elsie and brothers Jim, Paul, and Phillip. The Funeral Service and reception will be held on Wednesday, November 4th, 1:00 p.m. at Hainstock's Funeral Home, 9810 - 34th Avenue, Edmonton.
