Frank Ens The passing of Frank Ens occurred at Veteran's Village, Sherbrooke Community Centre, on Wednesday October 28, 2009, at the age of 88. Frank was born at Edenburg, SK on August 18, 1921 and for the first 21 years of his life he worked for the family farm and store. In 1942 he joined the R.C.A.F. as an aircraft mechanic and spent four and a half years in the Air Force. In 1943 he married Katherine Wolfe. They raised three sons; Ronald, born in 1944, Richard, born in 1948, and Kenneth, born in 1955. From 1947 to 1952 Frank worked for the City of Saskatoon. In 1952 he purchased some land and began farming near Traynor, SK. In 1966 his wife Katherine was killed in an auto accident and in 1968 Frank married Elna Ayars of Osage, SK and began farming there. In 1971 his son Ronald was killed in an auto accident. In 1975 they retired from farming and moved to a house in Saskatoon and did a considerable amount of traveling until 1994 when they moved to Elim Lodge. Frank is survived by his wife, Elna; his two sons, Richard (Lynn), and Kenneth; his two step children, Marlene Senft (Dick), and Morley Ayars (Kim) and their children Kayla (Larry), Jason, Scott, and Dwayne; as well as two great grandchildren, Riley and Micah. A Funeral Service for Frank will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from Acadia-Mckague's Funeral Centre (915 Acadia Drive) with Pastor Dale Doerksen officiating. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens following the service. Arrangements are in care of Tammy Ferrier 955-1600. Published in the Saskatoon StarPhoenix from 10/30/2009- 11/2/2009
