SEKHON, Kuldeep, Kully" (nee Basi) March 02, 1953 October 28, 2009 With courage and grace, Kully passed away peacefully in the sanctity of her own home, surrounded by her loving husband (Ken), children (Anika & Kirin), in-laws (Amarjit & Gurdip), and elder sister (Harb).Throughout her battle with cancer, Kully continued to live her life with gratitude, compassion, and integrity. Kully will always and forever be the light of her family." She is survived by her mother (Kartar Basi), younger sister (Criena Sekhon) and both sisters' families. She will be missed by her family, friends, colleagues, and residents of the various VIHA facilities that she has served over the past 15 years. The family would like to thank Dr. McMurtrie and Dr. Tang for all their efforts, as well as the caring nurses on RP1, R3, 7A, and the palliative response team. A special thanks to Lorna and Maureen (ET nurses), who went beyond the call of duty. The family would like anybody who knew Kully and wishes to honour her, to join them in a celebration of her life. The event will be held November 8 at 1pm at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4635 Elk Lake Drive.
