RASMUSSEN, Hans Lindholdt March 7, 1925 - October 26, 2009 "I would do it all over again. Every minute." On Monday, October 26, 2009, Hans Rasmussen of Edmonton passed gently away, in the loving arms and encouraging words of his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Edith; his two children, Joyce and Mark (Amanda); and his treasured grandchildren: Alexandra, Danika, Marissa and Carter, of whom he was so proud. Hans grew up in Denmark during the German occupation of World War II, became a Corporal in the Danish army, then immigrated to Canada in 1951 where he built the home he loved, the family he adored and two successful companies: Eagle Steel and Hans' Yard and Repair Service. He worked conscientiously in the service of others and deeply enjoyed life. All those who wish to pay their respects to Hans are invited to a Funeral Service on Monday, November 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 11223 - 51 Avenue, Edmonton, AB. His family extends heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Adam Canard, Dr. Robert Hayward, Brenda Bond and all other staff at the University Hospital. Their care was above reproach.
