Nigoghos MAROUNIAN

MAROUNIAN, Nigoghos On Thursday, September 24, 2009. Nigoghos Marounian died at home peacefully following a lengthy illness. He will be deeply missed by his wife Sima and his three children Missak, Markrit and Vahe. He is survived by his brother Krikor and and his two sisters, Kohar and Nevart. Nigoghos had a strong personality and a good character. Humbly and with great devotion he served his community at large. He was a strong believer in sports especially in track and field. He was inspired by lots of children including his own to stay active in sports and in the community activities. He was an inspiration to the Armenian youth and he would always be in the stands cheering in his loud voice. His presence in any social gathering would create a joyous atmosphere. His positive attitude and altruism will be remembered by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 1 at 11:00 a.m. in Sourp Kevork Armenian Apostolic Church in Laval.
