Dieter GOTTFRIED

GOTTFRIED, Dieter In memoriam, on his upcoming birthday (November 1). Dieter died July 6, 2009 at age 72. Beloved husband to Phyllis, doting father to Helen Gottfried-UnRuh (Dwane), proud "Opa" to Chantal, Janel and Isabella, leaving a large, loving family to mourn his passing in Germany and Winnipeg. All who knew him loved him; all who met him knew he was the kindest and most generous man they had met. He was immensely proud of his family and so were we of him. At Dieter's request, no memorial service or funeral was held. He lived a simple, honest life; he will be dearly missed. Published in the Ottawa Citizen on 10/31/2009
