Joyce Eileen May BANNISTER

HENDERSON, Joyce Eileen May (nee Bannister) Passed away peacefully on October 28th after a courageous battle with cancer, with her family at her side, Joyce is pre-deceased by her beloved husband Lorne (Major Ret'd C Pro C) and her parents Percy and Alice Bannister of Regina. Left to celebrate her joyful life are devoted daughter Barbara Rider (Michael Rider) of Kanata, granddaughter Kelly and great-grandson Austin. She is also predeceased by her cherished grandson David Rider. She will be greatly missed by her special nieces, nephews and family in Ottawa, across Canada and England. Also, left to celebrate her life are her many friends on both sides of the Atlantic gathered over many years of travel, adventure and service to Canada. Special thanks to Dr. Hurdon and her caring team, the nurses and staff of the Hospice at May Court and the staff and friends at Walden Village for their love and support. You have become members of our extended family. Family will receive friends on Monday, November 2 at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre (2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa) from 11 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service in the Pinecrest Chapel at 12:30 p.m. A reception will follow the interment.
