ROSS Phyllis Mary (nee Lort) 1924 - 2009 Predeceased by her husband, Donald HM Ross, her parents, Ross and Cecily Lort and her brothers, Jack and Tony Lort, Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Catherine Barford (Gouin) and Leslie Kallas (Endel), granddaughters, Jennie Kallas, Anna Barford and Emily Kallas, her sister Rosalie Howden and brother Bill Lort as well as cousins, nieces, nephews and relatives in Vancouver, on Vancouver Island, and in the US and England. Phyllis was an active member of the Yellow Door Studio for over 35 years until it closed in late 2006. She served as President of the Auxiliary to the Salvation Army Maywood Home for Girls and helped found the Vancouver Symphony Women's Committee New to You Shop. Thank you to all her many good friends who knew her throughout her life and to the capable staff of the Bursar's Office who always remembered Mrs. Ross. Please join us Saturday, November 7, 2009, 2:00 pm at Hycroft, 1489 McRae Avenue, Vancouver.
