CRUISE Gordon Colin Chisholm (May 2, 1914 - October 2, 2009) Last surviving child of 6 born to Albert W. and Isabella (Chisholm) Cruise, a pioneer Point Grey family. Educated in Vancouver, Gordon served in the Canadian Army, married Frances Canavan (of Boston) in 1950, spent his working life in Vancouver, and his leisure time woodworking and playing golf. Family vacations were at Redrooffs, and many later winters were enjoyed in Palm Desert. Gordon is survived by his wife Frances, daughter Frannie (Bill Mahony) and grandchildren Cole and Laurel, son Brian (Barbara Arnold) and grandsons David and Graham, daughter Cathie (Chris Philips) and granddaughters Peggy and Patricia, 3 nieces and 2 nephews. Gordon's determined, always helpful and cheerful approach to life, inspired many and will be greatly missed. A funeral mass will be held on October 10, 11:00, at the Church of St. John the Apostle, 5457 Trafalgar St., Vancouver. In his memory, donations to the CNIB would be appreciated.
