LECHELT, Alfred Benjamin August 25, 1915 - October 4, 2009 Alfred passed away peacefully on October 4, 2009 after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife, Amanda; his son, Larry (Kathy) of Edmonton; his brother, Hilbert (Sylvia) of Mayerthorpe; sister, Hilda of California; half sister, Evelyn (Victor) of Edmonton and numerous family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister, Frieda; half-sister, Ruth, and half-brother, Glen. Funeral Service will take place Saturday, October 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 9654 - 74 Avenue, Edmonton with Reverend Todd Hoeffs and Reverend Donald Unterschultz officiating. Interment to follow in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Nisku. Donations in Alfred's memory can be made to the Lutheran Hour Ministries, c/o Redeemer Lutheran Church or to the charity of one's choice.
