BERTOIA Gloria June (nee Skinner) Born May 6th, 1926 in Vancouver, BC, died peacefully in her home on October 4th. Predeceased by Raymond (2003), her beloved husband of 52 years. Mom leaves behind her loving family of six children, Diane (Bruce) Bissenden, Katherine (Brian) Canfield, John (Janice) Bertoia, Elizabeth (Douglas) Connell, David (Lisa) Bertoia, Mary (Anthony) Vecchio and her fourteen adoring grandchildren, Michelle, Adrian, Nicholas, Jordan, Trevor, Julian, Celeste, Oliver, Ryland, Francis, Taylor-Rae, Brendan, Gabrielle and Whitney, as well as brother Barry (Charmaine) Skinner. Gloria was a proud graduate of St. Joseph's School of Nursing in 1949. She was a gracious wife, mother and nana. We will miss her forever! A mass in celebration of her life will be held for family and friends on Friday, October 16th, at 1:00 pm inside St. Ann's Chapel, 835 Humboldt St., Victoria, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oak Bay Public Library through the Victoria Foundation at 645 Fort St., Victoria, BC.
