TAYLOR, Douglas (Big Doug) 73 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by his dear and devoted family on Wednesday, October 7, 2009. Beloved husband of Bonnie for 43 years to the day. Loving father of Dean Taylor and Shannon Hooper, Darrin and wife Debra. Cherished grandfather of Caitlin and Bradley. Dear brother of Frank Taylor. Survived by sister-in-law Linda Taylor. Always remembered by his nieces, nephew and their families. Doug was an avid gardener who was very particular about his lawn and an outdoorsman who truly enjoyed hunting. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home, 87 Maidstone Avenue East, Essex (519-776-4233) on Friday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service to celebrate Doug's life will be held from the funeral home on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 10 a.m. Rev. Rob Henderson officiating. Interment to follow at Greenhill Cemetery, Kingsville. As an expression of sympathy, donations made to Iler Lodge Long Term Care Centre (Resident's Council) would be appreciated by the family.
