LAWRENCE Edna Florence Passed away peacefully October 8, 2009 at Lions Gate Hospital after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband of over 49 years, Rudy, stepson David (Riun) Lawrence (Barb), stepdaughter Donna-Marie Hockley (Raven), seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves her sister Dorothy Davies, plus two nephews and their families in England and Australia. One of Edna's greatest enjoyments in life was ballroom dancing and in recent years line-dancing. She leaves many friends from line-dancing and her involvement with Silver Harbour Senior Centre including many longtime friends. Her pleasant, easygoing, helpful manner will be missed. The family wishes to express its sincere appreciation to Dr. Paul Klimo and staff at Lions Gate Hospital for their kind loving care of Edna on her final journey. A celebration of life will be held for Edna at First Memorial Funeral Services Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 1:00 pm.
