DR. PARKS M.D. John September 01, 1915 - September 09, 2009 John was born in Vancouver, B.C. and later moved to Burnaby with his parents and sisters. He attended school in Burnaby where he graduated from Burnaby South High School. He later attended U.B.C. and the University of Alberta. He then went on to McGill University where he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine. He was a physician in the armed forces during W.W. II and thereafter practiced medicine in Vancouver and Burnaby until 1992. John was a loving and devoted husband to Christine. He always gave his unconditional love and support to his family and friends. Predeceased by wife Christine Mary (nee Wilson) on April 23, 2005, sisters Emma McCammon and May McCammon and brothers-in-law Tom McCammon, Robert McMynn, Ronald Wilson and Les Wilson. Survived by daughter Penny (Robert) Pearson, son Brian (Linda) Parks, grandchildren Steven (Stephanie) Pearson, Jeffrey Pearson, and Jessica Parks (Richard DeSousa), great-grandchildren Shannon Pearson, Anthany and Aaliyah DeSousa, sister Doreen McMynn, brothers-in-law Jack (Elaine) Wilson, James McCammon, sisters-in-law Elsie Wilson and Gladys Wilson and nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. October 17, 2009 at the Richmond Funeral Home, 8420 Cambie Road, Richmond, B.C. 604-273-3748.
