SOMERVILLE Audrye Joan Don Somerville and his family are sad to announce the passing of their beloved wife and mother Audrye, Saturday morning, October 3, 2009. She died peacefully in her sleep at home. She had six children: Rob (Teresa), Chris (Greg Norton), Pat, Pam (Jack Minor), Liz Richens, Dee (Terry Petersen) and more great-grandchildren. Audrye is also survived by her sisters Hazel Brown and Kay Gilders and several nieces and nephews. She was born in Port Simpson, BC, and raised in Prince Rupert, then moved to Vancouver and met Don working at the Vancouver Sun. They bought the Oliver Chronicle in 1959 and moved to Oliver to raise their family. A celebration of Audrye's life was held at St. Edward's Anglican Church, Friday, October 9, 2009 at 2:00 pm. The reception followed at the Somerville residence on Road 3A. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Nunes-Pottinger.
