FREEMAN Sr., Pastor Melvin March 18, 1932-October 9, 2009. Went to meet his Lord and Saviour peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family. Beloved husband and best friend of Cora for 57 wonderful years. Cherished father of Eugene (Carol), Donnie, Kevin, Cheryl, Derrick (Jane), Debbie (Woody), Lucy (Richard), George (Lorraine), Lisa, Stephanie (Tim), Melvin Jr. (Kim). Proud grandfather of 37 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild. Predeceased by loving parents Reatha and Dave Freeman. Dear brother of Liz and the late Orville "Yubby". Dear cousin of Dodi. He will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, close friends and his church family. Melvin was the senior pastor and Co-Founder of the Upper Room Tabernacle where he preached for over 47 years. Visiting Sunday from 7-9p.m. and Monday 2-5, 7-9 p.m. at Families First Funeral Home & Tribute Centre (519-969-5841) 3260 Dougall Ave. Visitation will continue Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Windsor Christian Fellowship (4490 7th Conc.).
