JESSOP, Agnes Helen Nan Jessop passed away on September 29, 2008 after a lengthy illness. Predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Don, her parents Henry and Helen Williamson, brothers Harry, Bill, Hugh and Danny. Survived by her three daughters, Donna, Brenda (Jim) and Linda (Cal), grandchildren, Don (Kym) and Teresa, great grandson Hunter, sister Grace, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews in Great Britian. Nan grew up in Stranraer, Scotland. She met Don when he was stationed nearby and they were married in 1946. They came to Canada and settled in Victoria where they raised their daughters. She took pride in her work at the old Victoria General Hospital and gave many hours of her time to helping others, particularly at the Gorge Road Hospital after her retirement. But her family came first. Nan loved her family very much, always ready with a word of advice or a helping hand. Mum loved nothing more than to see her whole family together for Sunday dinner. Her family and many friends will miss her energy and enthusiasm for life. Many thanks to Dr. Donaldson and the staff of Fairfield Unit at Glengarry Hospital for your kindness and excellent care during Nan's final years.
