BOWKETT, Bernard "Bernie" On Friday, October 9, 2009, Mr. Bernard "Bernie" Bowkett passed away surrounded by his loving family at the age of 81 years. He is survived by his family, two sons, Barry (Penny) and Gord (Sharon); four grandchildren, Kimberly (Josh Pohl), Geoffrey, Scott, and Shelby; one great-granddaughter, Anika Pohl; special friend, Peggy Smith and family; as well as numerous other family members and friends. Bernie was predeceased by his wife, Margaret; and son, Donald. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Lung Association or C.N.I.B.
