OBRIGEWITSCH, JOSEPH ANTON -It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Joe Obrigewitsch on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at the age of 86 years. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Eva (nee Kress); son, Ken; parents, Jacob and Anna; sisters, Elizabeth and Katherine; brothers, Nick, Jack and Frank. Joe is survived by his sister, Anastasia; daughter, Sylvia (Sister of Sion); daughterin-law, Linda, children, Cindy (Claudio) grandson, Cristian, Jeff (Lana) grandsons, Thayne and Ayden, Tina, grandsons, Russell and Jesse, Kristy (Roberto) grandchildren, Manuel and Eva Luna; son, Denis (Donna) children, Jackie (Anthony), grandchildren, Elizabeth and Mackenzie, Brad, Jennifer (Dan), grandsons, Alexander and Nathan; son, Charlie (Kim) children, Cameron and Jaylyn; daughter, Charlene; son, Wayne, (Moe) children, Kennedy and Carter as well as numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. Joe and Eva were a career farming team for almost 33 years until they retired to Regina in 1973. Joe enjoyed working at many miscellaneous jobs in Regina including farm machine assembly and farm machine operating for cousins and nephews, bartending and also worked as a courier. Joe and Eva volunteered at the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre as well. They enjoyed travelling and exploring throughout North America with family and friends. Joe lived the past 11 years at Qu'Appelle House where he enjoyed the home and family life provided by staff and fellow residents. The family would sincerely like to thank the staff at Qu'Appelle House for their care, love and support. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at St. Mary R.C. Parish, 2026 Winnipeg St., Regina, SK with Fr. Dan Rafael as Celebrant. In lieu of flowers donations in Joe's memory may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre 4101 Dewdney Ave., Regina, SK S4T 1A5.
