Florence Mabel OSTHEIDT

BIRCHALL, Florence Mabel November 3, 1907 - October 7, 2009 With many fond and loving memories, we announce the passing of Florence Birchall (nee Ostheidt) at the age of 101. Born in Cardiff, Alberta in 1907, Florence was a dedicated mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and dear friend. Florence also enjoyed a rewarding career as manager of housekeeping at the Aberhart Hospital, Edmonton for many years. Florence will be lovingly remembered and missed by her daughter Doris (Roy), her eight grandchildren, Stephen (Cathy), Janice (Thomas), Brian, Don (Anni), David (MaryAnne) Dianne, Doug (Marla), Doris (Peter), her 25 great-grandchildren and her six great-great-grandchildren. Florence was predeceased by her husband Alfred, in 1951, her daughter Kathleen, in 2006, and son-in-law Bob, in 1995. Our heart-felt thanks and appreciation goes to the staff at the Dr. Gerald Zetter Care Centre for their many years of compassionate care given to Florence. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Win House of Edmonton Women's Shelter. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 16th, 2009 at St. John's Anglican Church (11111-57 Avenue, Edmonton) at 11:00 a.m., followed by a lunch reception at same location.
