HAWKES, Olive Anne On October 11, 2009 Olive Hawkes of Wetaskiwin passed away at the age of 86 years. Olive is survived by her children, Terri (Les) Morrow of Wetaskiwin, Barry (Shelly) Hawkes of Wetaskiwin, Anita Hawkes (Ray Boisvert) of Wetaskiwin, Dennis (Suzette) Hawkes of Wetaskiwin, Carol (Michael) LeClair of Wetaskiwin, Doug (MaryLyn) Hawkes of Red Deer, Kathy (Michael) Besse of Red Deer; 23 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Lois (Gordon) Gillespie of Edmonton as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Olive was predeceased by her husband, Horace (1992); parents, William and Anna Schantz; brothers, Cecil and Leonard; sisters, Kit, Emma, Mae and special friend, Leland Johnson. Friends are invited for a viewing and visitation at Baker Funeral Chapel, Wetaskiwin on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 from 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Baker Funeral Chapel, 5302-50 Avenue, Wetaskiwin on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Don Bergquist officiating. Private family interment service to follow at the Wetaskiwin Memorial Cemetery. In Olive's memory, donations are gratefully accepted to the Alzheimer's Society of Alberta or to the Northcott Care Centre in Ponoka.
