ISAACSON, Carol Gita (nee Goldenberg) Passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 11, 2009 after a long and courageous struggle with cancer. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her daughters, Michelle (Stephen Jacobson) and Dara and their father, Brian Isaacson; her soul mate, Richard and his children, Bonnie and Chris Dixon; her brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Nancy Goldenberg and their children, Brahm (Heather) and Steve (Sarna) Goldenberg; and her great-nephew and niece, Kyle and Isabelle Goldenberg. She was predeceased by her parents Lou and Beatrice Goldenberg. During her illness she was cared for by her many close friends. The family would like to recognize: Dr. Tony Woods, Dr. Stephen Aaron, the doctors and nurses at the University hospital and the staff at Laurier House who were unwavering in their kindness and compassion throughout her illness. Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. at the Edmonton Jewish Cemetery (7622 - 101 Avenue). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta or the Cross Cancer Institute.
