WOODMAN Gregory Grant It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Greg on September 2, 2009 after a rock climbing accident in Evergreen, Colorado. He was 48 years old. He was born on September 15, 1960 in Vancouver, BC to Douglas Woodman and Helen (Woodman) Lien. He was preceded in death by his stepdad Les Lien. Greg was a man of deep faith who saw only the best in everyone. He graduated from Colorado State University with a BS in Business and worked for many years as a sales manager for several different companies. An avid runner, he resumed his passion for running and founded the Arlington Runners Club (ARC) while living in Arlington, WA. He also trained for marathons and qualified and successfully completed the Boston Marathon twice. He successfully completed 5 marathons in all. He leaves behind to mourn his beloved daughter Kirstin, his father and stepmom Doug and Lorraine Woodman, his mother Helen Lien, brothers David (Frances), Richard (Kelly), sister Tracey Doll (David) stepsisters Shelley Rossiter (Scott), Samantha Gray (Todd), stepbrother Jim Lien (Irene) and family, nephews Justin, Brent, Ryan, Carson, Matt, Chris, Cody, Dallas, Chace, Cole and former spouse Bobbie. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. He leaves behind many dear friends including his special friend Rhada, lifelong friend Dan Casey and mom Marge, running partner Will Miller and longtime friend Kerry Anderson. We love you Greg and our hearts are heavy with sorrow but we know you are safe in the Lord's arms. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 1:00pm at Cloverdale Baptist Church 18685-64th Ave, Surrey 604-574-8799. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Greg's memory to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) 6450 Roberts St, Ste 150, Burnaby, B.C. V5G 4E1.
