ERICKSON-Angela Doris Erickson, born May 22, 1963, passed away on November 11, 2008 at the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, Manitoba, after a courageous two and a half year battle with Leukemia. Angela was predeceased by her grandparents: Edmond and Hortense DeBruyne, William and Lorena Erickson and her uncle Emile DeBruyne. Angela's memory lives on with her children: Chris, Pierre, and Nathan, all of Brandon, Manitoba; parents Larry and Loretta Erickson of Brandon; her sister Deborah Erickson (Andrea) of Regina; her brother Michael (Cindy) and their children: Amanda (Matt) their son Hayden, Shawnee and Mikayla, all of Edmonton, Alberta, Lorelei Erickson-Neville (Neal) and their children Tara and Keala, all of Regina. Angela was born in Estevan, Saskatchewan. She left Estevan to pursue her education. After graduation, she had a successful nursing career. She later chose to pursue a degree in nursing and in her last few years obtained what she called her "dream job", as a clinical nursing instructor at Brandon University. A special thanks goes out to Angela's coworkers, friends and students who offered tremendous support to her during her illness. Prayers will be recited at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, Brandon, Manitoba on Friday, November 14, 2008 at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Hedwig's Roman Catholic Church, 22311th Street, Brandon, on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 1:00 pm. Celebrant will be Fr. Dominic Yuen. Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery. Donations in memory of Angela may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 9Z9.
