BURLING-GRIFFIN, Victoria Colleen (nee V. Colleen HAYES) Passed away peacefully at her home in Cary, North Carolina on Monday October 20, 2008. Victoria is survived by her loving family; husband of 25 years John; mother Rita; brother Russell; sisters Elizabeth Hayes and Lois (Ken) Yamamoto; nephew Robert Hayes and niece Jennifer Hayes. Victoria was predeceased by her father Rex in 2003 and her brother Rex Jr. in 1997. Victoria was born in Victoria BC on June 6, 1955 and raised in Oak Bay. She married John in 1983 and later moved to Boston MA, where they lived for 11 years. In 2007 Victoria and John moved to Cary NC, where they found their perfect house and garden. Victoria died at home; unaware of the seriousness of her condition, enjoying her surroundings and being thankful for the wonderful place they were living.
