MILLER, Kenneth (Ken) Wallace January 5, 1938 - October 13, 2009 In the early morning of October 13, Ken Miller of Gull Lake, AB and formerly of Sherwood Park, AB and South Edmonton, AB passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital at the age of 71 years. Ken is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Jean; his three daughters, Cathy (Jim) Burbridge of Red Deer, AB; Deneen Miller of South Edmonton, AB; and Lori (Ted) Hutchings of Red Deer, AB; six beloved grandchildren, Benjamin, Kaitlin, Connor, Jeffrey, Brianna and Landin; one sister Phyllis (Gordon) Grams of Leduc, AB; sister-in-law Anita (Arnold) Wedman of Edmonton, AB and brother-in-law Hal (Judie) Steffler of Osoyoos, BC; their families, many friends and extended family. Ken was predeceased by his parents Robert and Martha Miller; a sister Lorraine Schiewe; brothers-in-law Ken Schiewe and George Steffler; and a niece Dolores Wedman. The family would like to thank Dr. Kim Adzich and other staff at the Rimbey Hospital, the Rimbey home care nurses, Cross Cancer Institute and the Central Alberta Cancer Centre for their excellent and compassionate care. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 19, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church (Heimthal) at Leduc (3.5 miles west of Highway 2 on Highway 19 to Range Road 255, then north 1.5 miles) with Reverends Arno Bablitz and Neil Stern officiating. Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery.
