OSTEREICHER Marie It is with great sadness that we announce the passing and say goodbye to our beloved mother and grandmother. Marie passed away peacefully on October 14, 2009 with family by her side after along but courageous battle with Alzheimer's. Born in Bredtheim, Poland on February 11, 1923, Marie traveled to Canada in 1951 to begin a new life. In 1952 she met the love of her life (Peter) and soon fulfilled her dreams. Marie was a warm and caring woman dedicated to her family. Throughout her entire life she thought of others before herself and was always willing to give a helping hand to family and friends. She has been called home now by the Lord to walk hand in hand with her beloved husband Peter, her brother John, her mother Katharina and her father Konrad. Marie will be sadly missed but always remembered by her loving family, daughter Erica , son Richard (Liz) and her cherished grandchildren Adam and Emma. She is survived by her sister, Hedwig (Dieter) Mobert and brother Heinz (Gabie) Uibel. A celebration of Marie's life will be held on Tuesday, October 20th, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Victory Memorial Park 14831 - 28th Avenue in South Surrey. In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations be made to the Alzheimer's Society in the memory of Marie Ostereicher.
