BARSS, Trent Layton On Wednesday, October 14, 2009 Trent Barss of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta and formerly of Irma, Alberta passed away near Bruderheim, Alberta at the age of 37 years. Trent is survived by his wife, Verlean; three children, Jensen, Evan and Spencer; his parents, Jim and Heather Barss of Irma, Verlean's parents, Claire and Felix Buziak of North Battleford, Saskatchewan; two sisters, Teri-Lyn (Clay) Copeland of Irma and their two sons, James and Wyatt and Trisha (Shaun) Rue of Vermilion, Alberta and their two daughters, Gabrielle and Kaitlyn; his maternal grandparents, Mike and Marjorie Oracheski of Irma; four sisters-in-law, Collette, Elaine, Phyllis, Jeanette and their husbands and families; his godmother, Doreen Schubada of Wainwright, Alberta; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Harley and Marney Barss; his godfather, Dave Schubada. A Funeral Mass for the late Trent Barss will be conducted on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Wainwright with Father Leonard Gartner the celebrant. Cremation will follow the funeral mass. A Celebration of life will be held from the Our Lady of Angels Roman Catholic Church, Fort Saskatchewan on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. following the 6:30 p.m. mass. If so desired the family suggests memorial contributions be made at the Alberta Treasury Branch for a trust fund for Trent's children. Creech's Funeral Home in care of all arrangements.
