LEONARD, Vernon "Spirit in the sky..." Vern Leonard passed away Thursday, October 15, 2009 after a long battle with cancer at the age of 67. He is survived by his devoted wife, Dawn and their five children: Kris, Shawnna (Doug), Darcy (Vicki), Diana (Dean) and Kari; their grandchildren: Kayle, Kory, Nikita (Robert), Tatiana, Tristan, Hannah, Hunter and Kalen. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to "Ride to Conquer Cancer" benefitting the Alberta Cancer Foundation, 710, 10123 - 99 Street Edmonton, AB T5J 3H1 Rider #140692-2. Kari will be riding in honour of her father. There will be a luncheon held at the family home on October 24, 2009 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Family and close friends welcome.
