ISAAK Elvin Elvin passed away Wednesday, October 14th, 2009 in Lloydminster. Elvin was born February 12, 1931 in Arnaud Manitoba, the second of six children. The family moved to Saskatchewan when Elvin was a child eventually settling on a farm near Glenbush. Elvin attended elementary and high school in Medstead followed by two years of Bible College in Hepburn. After moving to Saskatoon, Elvin began a 26 year career as a City Transit Bus Operator. During this time he met and married Shirley Shakotko, raising a family of four children. In 1979 Elvin and Shirley moved to Lloydminster to build and operate a motel, renovate several homes, work in Real Estate, and work at several businesses. Throughout his life, Elvin's passion was working in the building and construction industry as a finishing carpenter. Elvin will be missed by his loving wife, Shirley Isaak and children: Lorne Isaak, Donna (Bob) Hawes, Lloyd (Darla) Isaak, Valerie (Mark) Teed; and grandchildren: Nicole (Cam) Berg and David Isaak; Michael (Latisha), Stephen (Kelsey), and Mark Hawes; Sara Isaak; Robert and Witney Teed. Interment and memorial service for family and friends will be held in Glenbush, SK at a future date. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Gideons and the Canary Foundation for early detection of cancer.
