Merle Marguerite HANSEN

Merle Marguerite Morrice (Hansen) August 20, 1929 October 14, 2009 Merle Morrice of Eston, SK passed away peacefully at Kindersley following a brief illness. She was predeceased by her husband Glen, her infant son Mark, and her parents John and Mary Hansen. She is survived by her children, Rick (Maureen) Morrice of Eston, Glenda (Keith) Graves of Outlook and Rob (Lisette) Morrice of Saskatoon; grandchildren Erica (Andrew) Vahl, Darcy (Traci) Morrice, Ashley (Ryan) Pawliw, Adam Graves, Katlin Graves, Jordan Graves, Samantha Morrice and Woody Morrice. She is also survived by her sisters, Joy Johnson of Kindersley, Lenore Keller of Saskatoon and Leslie Erickson of Regina, and five great grandchildren, Emma and Alexa Morrice, Evan and Kara Vahl and Ava Pawliw. Merle was born and raised on the family farm north of Glidden. She was a past member of the Eastern Star and the Ladies' Legion Auxiliary and a volunteer for the Prairie West Historical Society. Her loves were not only her children and grandchildren but also farming, baseball, hockey and bingo. A special thanks to Dr. Stewart Holmes of Eston and Dr. Klassen of Kindersley, the Eston EMT staff Don and Janelle, nurses Karen Serfas, Allison Mathers and Lindsay Jackson. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Eston Full Gospel Church. Donations may be made to Eston KidSport, Box 756, Eston, Sask., S0L 1A0.
