HAGEMOEN Ian RogerIt is with tremendous sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend to all, Ian Roger Hagemoen, born in Wells, B.C. on December 4, 1940. He is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years Pat, his daughter Louise (Don Davidson), his son David (Lisa Constable) and his four adored granddaughters, Krista, Kayleigh, Megan and Jenna. The life of every party, Ian was a big man with a booming voice and a big heart who lived life "his way". A B.C. Lions Alumni, Ian played in the CFL in the 60's. He later coached minor football in Surrey where he made his home. He was a past president of the Surrey Athletic Association and dabbled in local politics. Ian was a great outdoorsman and was passionate about our beautiful province. He loved hunting and fishing with his buddies. Ian was a proud entrepreneur, spending many years in mining exploration and promotion. In later years he lived in Chilliwack, working in land development, while also trying his hand at farming. For the past six years Ian was semi-retired in Parksville. Ian will be deeply missed by all that knew him. A celebration of Ian's life will be held at Northview Golf and Country Club at 6857 168 St, Surrey on Monday, October 26 at 1:30 PM. All of Ian's friends and family are welcome.
