Otto KIELAN

KIELAN Otto Born October 10, 1909 in Lithuania, passed into the presence of the Lord October 14, 2009 at Surrey Memorial Hospital. Predeceased by daughter Joann Kurpjuweit, Otto is survived by Lydia, his loving wife of 67 years; sons Ray (Helen) and Rick (Judie); grandchildren Todd (Emily), Mark (Stefanie), Dan (Christine), Joel (Carrie) Kurpjuweit, Serenity (Chris) Wiens and Shelly Kurpjuweit; great-grandchildren Jessica and Ben Kielan and Autumn and Taylor Kurpjuweit; son-in-law Craig (Lois) Kurpjuweit; sister Selma Brauer and brother-in-law Harold (Doris) Wildeman. He will be missed by extended family on the prairies, in the US and Germany as well as the staff and residents of the Emerald at Elim Village. Viewing will take place from 7:00 - 8:30 pm, Monday, October 19th at Avalon Funeral Home, 13288 - 108 Avenue, Surrey. A celebration of Otto's life will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 20th at the Oasis at Elim Village, 159th Street and 90th Avenue, Surrey. In lieu of flowers, donations to Union Gospel Mission or Elim Christian Care would be greatly appreciated. "He was a man of faith and integrity who touched the lives of all who knew him."
