So Me MAH

MAH So Me October 19th,1925 to October 10th, 2009 Predeceased by husband Bun Kin Mah in 1969 and son Henry Mah in 2002. Survived by daughter Mary. Born and raised in Toisan, China, So Me immigrated to Canada in 1958 from Hong Kong. She worked as a seamstress, and became a caregiver in the community and with St. Luke's parish in later years. Her greatest loves involved spending time with family and relatives, cooking, gardening, and attending aquafit classes at Kerrisdale Community Centre. Her courage, strength and determination were some of the many attributes present throughout her life, but were especially evident after her stroke in 2008. Her beautiful smile and gracious loving spirit will be dearly missed. Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, SPCA or charity of choice. Funeral service to be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, October 19th at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel/Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Ave Burnaby, BC Reception to follow.
