MATHISON Wendy Gale 1960 - 2009 Wendy ended her courageous battle with skin cancer on the morning of October 8th. She will be remembered for her strength, sense of humor and energy. She had an extreme love of the outdoors, which she shared with her daughters and all those close to her. Wendy's summers were spent horseback riding and traveling around North America. An accomplished geologist, she realized a successful career in the mining industry. Wendy will be greatly missed by her three loving daughters, Zoe, Clare and Emily, her partner, David Cooper, along with her family and friends. A memorial service and celebration of Wendy's life will be held at Fraserview Church, 11295 Mellis Drive, Richmond on Monday, October 19th, at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, people wishing to make donations to the Wendy Mathison Family Trust Fund should contact Betty at 604-608-4510 or betty@pdiam.com. A portion of the trust will be directed to the Save Your Skin Foundation, an organization dedicated to the research and treatment of skin cancer, especially melanoma.
