CHOW, Wo Yim It is with great sadness and deep sorrow that the family of Wo Yim Chow announces her peaceful passing on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the General Hospital (Grey Nuns) in Edmonton. Mrs. Chow was born in China on August 15, 1917 and had been a citizen of Canada and resident of Edmonton for over half a century. She was predeceased by her husband, Ken Sin Chow, in 1987. She is survived by her sons, Alfred (Bonita), Daniel (Mary), and Eugene (Linda), and her grandchildren, Kevin, Kelsey, Sara, and Amy, all of Edmonton. She also leaves many nieces and nephews in Canada and the United States. The family wishes to acknowledge the professional and compassionate care from her many caregivers in unit 5Y of the General Hospital. Also our heartfelt thanks to Soo Yee Wong, her wonderful caregiver and companion for many years. Visitation will take place from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 22 at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 - 114 Street, Edmonton. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 23 at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, with Reverend Kenneth Chan officiating. Interment to follow at Beechmount Cemetery.
