DRINKWATER, Charles Leslie (Les) July 18, 1905 - October 14, 2009 With fond and loving memories, we announce the loss of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and best friend. We have great joy in knowing that he has gone to be with his Heavenly Father who he loved and faithfully served. He peacefully went to meet his Saviour who promised him a mansion in heaven (John 14:1-2). Left to cherish his memory is his wife Ivy (Cass); five children: Leonard (Dail), Betty (John), Carol (Ron), Shirley, James (Deanna); four stepchildren: Betty Jean (Morris), Linda (Ron), Roger (Bonnie), Debra (Chris); eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, as well as many dear relatives and friends. Les was predeceased by his first wife Mabel (Dubie) on October 9, 1984 and his sister Hilda in 1991. The family expresses its gratitude and appreciation to the staff at St. Michael's Long Term Care Centre who lovingly cared for him since 2004. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton with a one hour prior visitation. Interment to follow at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Les may be made to St. Michael's Long Term Care, or the Alzheimer Society of Alberta.
