HAWLEY, Wesley Philip February 12, 1922 - October 17, 2009 It is with sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our gentle Dad and husband. Wes is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Josephine. He also leaves to mourn his loss, three children; Phillip (Pam) Hawley, Danny (Cindy) Hawley, Gail (John) Coffin, seven grandchildren; Chauntille Hawley, Kyler Hawley, Jeffrey (Bethan) Simpson, Kelty Hawley, Shawn Hawley, David (Jackie) Coffin, Adrienne Coffin, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Wes was predeceased by his parents Elizabeth and Jesper Hawley and his sister Beatrice Critchley. Wes was a World War II veteran and served in the Royal Canadian Navy. He was a machinist by trade who worked for the Canadian National Railway for 44 years. Wes will be remembered for his constant desire to help others and his love of maintaining his home. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at St Joseph's Auxiliary Hospital for their kindness and compassionate care. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 22, at 10:00 a.m. at the Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 - Fort Road, Edmonton. If you so wish, donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada-Northern Alberta or to St. Joseph's Auxiliary Hospital can be made in lieu of flowers.
