WILLIS (Sheppard), Emma Alberta January 19, 1908 - October 16, 2009 On Friday, October 16, 2009 Mrs. Alberta Willis of Wainwright, formerly of Galahad, Alberta passed away at the age of 101 years. She was predeceased by her husband Pete, in 1997, an infant daughter, Merle in 1940 and a son, Gary in 1975. She is survived by a host of relatives and friends. Among her close friends, Ken and Mary Warriner of Wainwright and Gene and Anna Whitehead of Kenaston, Saskatchewan. Throughout her life she was a dedicated Christian devoted to God and instrumental in the teaching of Sunday School at Galahad, Alberta where she spent most of her life. Alta and Pete left Galahad and moved into Battle River Lodge in Wainwright in May of 1995, she remained there until her health failed late in 2008 when she entered the Wainwright Extended Health Center. At Alberta's request no funeral will be held. A Graveside Service will take place on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Galahad Cemetery.
