Margaret Harriet CRERAR

RORKE, MARGARET HARRIET (NEE CRERAR)_Passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 15h at the age of 90 years. Predeceased by her husband, Elbridge (Ab); father Duncan Crerar; mother Edith (nee Ellis); sister Doris and husband Sam Moore and brother-in-law Alex McAleer, Margaret is survived by her children: Sharon (Tony), Wayne (Torri); grandchildren: Matthew, (Sheryl), Michael, Sheena and Tonya; six great grandchildren; sister: Francis McAleer; brothers: William (Doreen), Stewart (Margaret) and Donald (Pat); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was born in Gallivan, SK on November 26, 1917, married Ab in 1940 and lived in Battleford until moving to North Battleford in 1961 where she resided until 1973 when she and Ab moved to the Okanogan. In 1995 they moved to Saskatoon and in 2007 Margaret moved to Regina where she lived until her passing. Margaret had an independent nature and enjoyed the years she spent working at Amos Stationery and Conkin's Dept. Store in North Battleford as well as time spent working in Banff and Kelowna. Margaret was a dab hand at baking and also spent a great many hours providing handmade afghans, and the odd quilt for family members and others. Cremated remains to be interred at the Prongua Cemetery at a later date. Published in the Regina Leader-Post on 11/20/2008
