McGILL - Margaret Born in Scotland May 30, 1918 Well that's it, mum passed away in her sleep early Monday morning October 26, 2009 at 91 years. She was the beloved wife of Arthur, who predeceased her on May 21, 1991. Known as Nanny to a select few, she no doubt made a difference in their lives. We won't forget those warm scones and the open door sit down and have something to eat. The Scotch short bread wrapped in a towel and broken over your head for good luck or the industrial strength rum balls at Christmas time. My parents once told me they never thought they would live long enough to see me married. Well, I fooled them. My wife Patricia was so loved no one could have asked for better. Grandchildren, Misty Lee, Thomas and Tyler have memories of pajama parties and hamburger soup. Thomas loved having his temples rubbed. Whether it was swimming, gymnastics, baseball, BMX, soccer or can-can dancing, they always had a number one fan in the crowd. Although, she did get wound up at some of the soccer games. By all account she fit into that category of feisty little Scottish lady coming to Canada in 1949 and making Vancouver her home, at age 72 learning to swim and taking driving lessons. She loved her vacations with family and friends. Special thank you to the nurses and staff at Inglewood care centre. Mum we had a great time, say hello to dad. - Love Art All are invited to an open house for Margaret, November 8 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Art and Pat's, 3912 Hamilton St. Port Coquitlam.
