Adeline Magdalena Corraya 1910 2009 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mrs. Adeline Corraya on Wednesday, October 28th, 2009. Adeline Corraya was born in Dacca, Bangladesh on November 9th, 1910. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis, in 1934, shortly after which she embarked on a career as a nurse in the Indian Army. In February 1982 she came to Saskatoon from Dacca to live with her younger daughter and family. Mrs. Corraya dearly loved animals and impressed all who knew her with her kindness, resilience, good cheer, and steady faith. She will truly be missed. She is survived by her daughters, Sybil (Teddy) Barlow of Dacca and Gaiti (Zaheer) Alvi of Saskatoon; and by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff of St. Paul's Hospital, Royal University Hospital, Prairie Springs Care Home and Oliver Lodge for all their care and devotion. Interment took place at Woodlawn Cemetery on Monday, November 2nd. Donations in Mrs. Corraya's memory may be made to the Saskatoon SPCA.
