Toshio SAKAUYE

SAKAUYE, Toshio Passed away peacefully at Maisonneuve / Rosemont Hospital, on November 1, 2009, at the age of eighty-six. Predeceased by his parents, Jinmatsu Sakauye and Matsuno Chihara and his siblings Kazuo, Takeo, Harue and Mitsuo. Survived by his beloved wife of fifty-nine years, Penny Akiko, his children Gary (Jane), Carolyn and David (Dolores) and grandchildren Chris, Ryan, Adam and Pauline. Fondly remembered by his sister Kimiye (late Frank Kuramoto), brothers Tatsuo (Kim) and Shigeo (Yoshiko), his sisters-in-law Noriko (late Harold Ishii) and Fay (late Jimmy Ishii) and many nieces and nephews. Visitation at Rideau Gardens, 4275 Sources Blvd. Dollard des Ormeaux, Quebec, (514-685-3344) on Friday, November 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., followed by a Service at 8 p.m. Visitation on Saturday, November 7 at 10 a.m. with cremation at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre of Montreal or the Canadian Lung Association.
